Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Cybanext Technologies, which runs Veribid. By creating an account you accept them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What we are
Veribid is a marketplace where students auction items to each other. We are not the buyer or seller, do not own or inspect the items, and do not handle payment. The sale is between the buyer and the seller.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and give true information.
- One account per person. Keep your password and phone codes secret; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Only verify with your own phone number, your own ID and a selfie of yourself. Using someone else's ID or phone is fraud: the account will be closed and the matter may be reported to the police.
3. Selling
- You must own the item and have the right to sell it.
- Describe it honestly, including faults, and upload at least 5 real photos of the actual item showing every side, part and any damage. No stock or borrowed photos.
- If your item sells (auction won above any reserve, or Buy Now), you must complete the sale at the agreed pickup at the price reached.
4. Prohibited items
Veribid is for gadgets only: phones, laptops, tablets, computers, audio, TVs, gaming, wearables, cameras, chargers and accessories, and other electronic gadgets. Listings that are not gadgets (for example clothes, shoes, bags, books, food, furniture or cosmetics) are refused or removed.
You may not list: stolen goods; counterfeit or fake-branded items; weapons, ammunition or explosives; drugs, medicines and drug equipment; alcohol and tobacco; exam papers, answers or assignment services; ID cards, SIM cards registered to someone else, or other people's accounts; animals; adult content; anything illegal in Ghana or that breaks school rules.
5. Bidding and buying
- A bid is a promise to buy at that price if you win. Bids cannot be withdrawn once placed.
- If a bid is placed in the last minutes, the auction may be extended so everyone has a fair chance.
- If the reserve price is not met, the seller does not have to sell.
- Inspect the item at pickup before you pay. Payment is made in person, in cash or mobile money, directly to the seller.
6. Pickup and safety
Meet only at the public pickup spots listed on the site, in daytime. Never pay in advance to someone you have not met, and never share your phone codes. Report anything suspicious.
7. Reports, strikes and suspension
- You can report a listing or a user. Our team reviews reports and may remove listings, warn users or add strikes.
- A strike is added for confirmed problems such as not turning up for a pickup, refusing to complete a sale, misleading listings or abuse.
- An account that reaches 2 active strikes is suspended automatically. Strikes expire after 180 days.
- Serious fraud, threats, stolen goods or fake IDs lead to immediate suspension and may be reported to the police.
- If you think a strike or suspension is wrong, email admin@veribidghana.com within 14 days and we will review it.
8. Our responsibility
We work to keep the site safe but cannot guarantee any item, user or sale. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from dealings between users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law that cannot be excluded.
9. Closing accounts
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Some records are kept after closing as explained in the Privacy Policy.
10. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced on the site or by email.
